A gentle day by the sea to rest and replenish.
With Stillness, Meditation, Space and Sea.
In a busy world, with changing demands, it can be challenging to hold onto our sense of self, of balance. It can help to make moments of stillness and beauty which nourish and clear the mind and heart – leaving space to return to all that truly matters.
Come to the Water, is an invitation to a day of stillness and calm by the sea.
We begin at 10 with a gentle reflection to help us arrive and enter into silence and we finish the day in the same way. Across the day you can choose from opportunities for meditation, writing, rest or reflection, and there will also be time for a beach walk or to simply watch the sea, if that’s what you need today.
The days purpose is not to add more information or expectations to your life, but to offer a still and gentle space for yourself. In the calm, we can be with ourselves and hear ourselves more easily.
Mornings at Blackwater Pond, by Mary Oliver.
For years, every morning, I drank
from Blackwater Pond.
It was flavored with oak leaves and also, no doubt,
the feet of ducks.
And always it assuaged me
from the dry bowl of the very far past.
What I want to say is
that the past is the past,
and the present is what your life is,
